The Washington DC Chapter of the User Experience Professionals Association
Cassandra Moore, PhD at Brave UX
Ever feel like your job is to execute on product decisions made by someone else? Like you aren’t involved until all the really juicy thinking has been done? Many of us want to participate in creating the vision for the product we’re working on and influencing its direction. We want to contribute to the CX/UX strategy as well as producing deliverables, but aren’t sure how to do it. What do we need to know? How do we go about it? And what is an experience strategy anyway?
In this presentation we’ll talk about strategic thinking in general, and the components of a strategic approach. We’ll talk briefly about business strategy and how CX/UX can provide a competitive advantage for non-commercial enterprises as well as businesses. Then we’ll narrow the focus and apply what we’ve learned to CX/UX strategy. Our goal is to articulate the link between organizational success and customer experience so we too can have a seat at the innovation table.
