About this Conference

The local UPA DC conference was developed to serve two primary purposes: first, to bring together the Usability Professionals of the DC metro area in order to exchange ideas, best practices and resources for issues that are meaningful to our local community. Second, recognizing that national conferences, organizational meetings and publications are often too many to manage, we hope this event will serve as an easily accessible, affordable way to gain some of this knowledge through one, local coordinated effort.

About the UPA

The Usability Professionals’ Association (UPA) provides a forum for usability practitioners to share techniques and experiences. The UPA attracts newcomers to our field, experienced practitioners, and distinguished professionals who have been defining and shaping the usability field for decades. We also provide supportive information to senior executives, managers, team leaders, and usability advocates within a variety of organizations.
